Independent service — not a government site
SAM Sherpa is an independent, privately operated service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by SAM.gov, the General Services Administration (GSA), or any other part of the U.S. government. SAM Sherpa does not use the SAM.gov logo, official seals, or government visual styling anywhere in this product.
SAM Sherpa walks you through everything the SAM.gov registration process requires, checks your entries for common errors before you submit, and helps you keep track of your renewal deadline afterward. It does not submit your registration for you — SAM.gov does not offer an API for that, and building automation against SAM.gov itself would mean impersonating a real applicant on a federal system. You always log in to SAM.gov yourself and submit directly, using the prep packet SAM Sherpa generates as a guide.
Registering and renewing in SAM.gov is free and mandatory for businesses and organizations seeking federal contracts or grants. Nothing SAM Sherpa charges for is a substitute for, or a fee on top of, that registration. Any fee is for the software itself — the guided intake, validation, packet preparation, and renewal tracking — not for the registration.
The federal government has warned businesses about third parties that charge for “registration assistance” while implying the payment is required to register, or that misrepresent themselves as affiliated with SAM.gov. SAM Sherpa is not one of those services, and this page exists so that distinction is never in question.
SAM Sherpa will never ask you to enter your SAM.gov username or password into this app. You always log in to SAM.gov directly, on SAM.gov's own site, to submit or renew your registration.
